Detailed Service Breakdown

  • Edge-To-Edge Quilting Options

Designs are designed to create an overall repeated quilting effect across the quilt top. They are usually single run designs that have a start and stop point on opposite sides of the design. Edge-to-edge designs are sewn left to right and are slightly smaller than the machine heads vertical movement range. Picking your edge-to-edge design is a crucial part of quilt finishing services.

  • Binding Services

Deb’s Quilt Studio does offer machine binding services. We offer binding services ranging from machine attachment of the binding to the front of the quilt for the quilter to hand bind it down; to complete attachment by machine. Binding services compliment Arizona quilt finishing services.

  • Batting and Thread Choices

We have battings from these major brands - Warm & Natural, Quilters Dream, and Hobbs. Each of these brands has 100 % cotton battings in both white and natural, 80/20 blends, plush or premium luxury cottons. Additionally, Quilters Dream offers wool, polyester, bamboo, green, and blend 70/30. Hobbs bonded fibers offers a poly-down, Tuscany, and cloud-loft battings.Choosing the right thread color is a critical aspect of longarm machine quilting. Matching the thread color to the quilt top may seem like the obvious choice, but contrasting threads can add a dynamic dimension to your project.

  • Backing and Preparation Guidelines

An intricate part of your quilt backing selection involves whether you want to piece your quilt back or use a wide back fabric. Either way is acceptable. Your quilt back must be larger than your quilt top by 4-6 inches on all sides, anything less will cause problems loading the longarm machine and you could be charged an extra fee for having to attach a leader to the bottom of your quilt to be able to longarm your quilt all the way to the bottom of your quilt top.

With over 20 years of quilting experience and a passion for bringing quilts to life, I'm the hands and heart behind Deb's Quilt Studio. My journey in the quilting world began two decades ago, and I've never looked back.Before launching my own studio, I honed my longarm quilting skills working at a local quilt shop, where I developed my eye for matching quilting patterns to each unique quilt top. Three years ago, I took the leap to establish Deb's Quilt Studio after friends and neighbors continuously sought me out to finish their cherished quilts. What started as helping those close to me has blossomed into a thriving business serving quilters throughout Arizona and nationwide.My approach to quilting is both artistic and detail-oriented. I believe each quilt deserves custom attention that complements the piecing work and brings out the best in your creation. Several of my quilts have been featured in local quilt shows, but my greatest satisfaction comes from seeing clients' faces when they receive their finished quilts.While my MBA in Business provides me with the expertise to run a professional studio, it's my genuine love for quilting that drives me every day. I understand that when you send your quilt to me, you're entrusting me with hours of your creativity and dedication. That's a responsibility I take seriously.When I'm not at the longarm, you'll find me gardening and growing vegetables for canning. Sometimes, I even find time to design my own quilts.
